Founder

Officer Steve DeWarns is a police officer in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has 19 years experience and his expertise is in the field of Online Child Exploitation Investigations. Officer DeWarns is the founder of Internet Child Safety. For the past 10 years, Officer DeWarns has dedicated himself to the teaching of online safety to parents and children. He has worked with the F.B.I.’s Innocent Images and the U.S. Secret Service Electronic Crimes Task Force. His most recent appearances were on the NBC Today Show (Topic: Teen Prank MySpace.com), The Dr. Phil Show (Topic: Cyber Bullies) and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s Media Safety Guide. Ofc. Curtis Selseth Officer Curtis Selseth is a police officer in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has 26 years experience and his expertise is in the field of Online Child Exploitation and Computer Forensics. He was a criminal investigator for 8 years, and was partners with Officer DeWarns for six of those years. He has worked with the F.B.I.’s Innocent Images, the U.S. Secret Service Electronic Crimes Task Force and U.S. District Attorney’s Task Force on Online Child Exploitation. Janai Bryan Janai Bryan is the Counselor at a PreK-8 school in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Mrs. Bryan has worked in the school setting for 12 years focusing on the development and implementation of a variety of services that recognize the cognitive, affective, social and physical dimensions of a child and their environment. While working at comprehensive treatment centers early in her career, Mrs. Bryan spent 6 years as a first hand witness to the impact that destructive behaviors can have on a person. With this combined professional experience, Mrs. Bryan has developed a passion to educate children on how to safely navigate the Internet. You can contact her at:
